Louise Foulkes
Partner - Geocentric Outdoors
Louise is an accomplished endurance sport and outdoor events organiser with a passion for adventure, environment, and community, with career successes including pioneering the development of adventure racing in Australia.

In 2001, Louise co-founded Geocentric Outdoors her partner Craig Bycroft with the simple idea of creating extreme multi-sport events that would push competitors to their limits while exploring remote areas. Louise created expedition-style adventure races in Australia and helped launch the sport of adventure racing into the mainstream.

Louise was the co-owner and director of the Adventure Racing World Series from 2011–2023. During this time, the series hit record numbers, became the top global circuit for multi-day expedition races and world championships. She also spent a lot of time mentoring events around the world - specifically across Asia. As well as mapping uncharted wilderness courses for events, Louise has spearheaded comprehensive safety protocols, live tracking technology, and risk management systems that set new industry benchmarks. Louise was inducted into the ARWS Hall of Fame at the ARWS World Championships in 2024.

Outside of endurance racing, Louise is heavily involved in community, grassroots, and volunteer initiatives focused on matters from the environment to human rights. Most recently Louise has created Women’s MTB Retreat – Australia where she takes women on guided MTB tours in Tasmania, NSW and Qld.
Linda Davis

Linda currently works in Events Management, Injury Rehabilitation and Defence Operations and Training.
Linda has a background as an Exercise Physiologist, Primary and Secondary PE Teacher, TAFE Fitness and Outdoor Recreation Teacher and First Aid-Sports Injury Instructor. She also works for Ironman Oceania supporting their trail running events, including Ultra-Trail Australia in the Blue Mountains and Ultra-Trail Kosciusko. Linda is an Outrigger Coach and Committee member of Gold Coast Outrigger Canoe Club, Secretary and Event Setter for Townsville’s Totally Tropical Orienteering Club, Secretary of the Australian Rafting Federation and provides medical support for the Australian Defence Touch Football Association and a range of local NQ sporting events. Linda is a part of the Adventure Racing Australia working group with a vision to create an Australian Adventure Racing Association.
Linda’s first adventure race was in 2000; the Cairns 48h Eco-Adventure followed by NZ’s 5-day Southern Traverse. She competed in the very first Geoquest 48h, Hells Bells 24h and XPD 7-day Races in the early 2000s and since then has participated as a racers in 8 GeoQuest's, 2 Southern Traverses, 7 Eco-Adventures (The Quoll), 50+ 6-24h adventure and multi-sport races (AROC, Max Adventure24, On-A-Mission, Hells Bells 24, James-Grant, Arrow24, Adventurethon) and 7 Australian XPDs including the 2011 and 2016 ARWS - Adventure Racing World Championships.
Linda has also represented Australia at World Championships level in Outrigger Canoeing, Ocean Ski Paddling and Whitewater Rafting; with a highlight being a member of the Australian Team that won 5 Gold medals at the 2019 Rafting World Championships. She also teamed up with local navigation legend Thor Egerton to compete at the 2016 World Rogaining Championships in Alice Springs.
Linda has been working behind the scenes at many adventure races as a volunteer, safety officer, climbing official and or course setter. In fact Linda and her partner were the course setters for ARWS - XPD Townsville in 2015. The biggest highlight in her AR volunteering history was spending a month in Fiji working on Eco-Challenge Fiji in
2019.

Linda is a quiet achiever – she just ‘gets out there’ – nothing is going to scare off Linda and if you are worried about crocs, stingers or anything else that might kill you in Tropical NQ – just ask Linda for some advice.
“If you don’t make mistakes — fall over, fall off, flip upside-side-down, wear the ‘wrong attire’, or end up covered in blood — then you aren’t getting out there” – Linda Davis
Jan Leverton
Partner - Tri Adventure
Jan Leverton co-founded Tri Adventure back in 2008.
Jan has been a leader in the promotion of women’s fitness throughout her career with the creation of events such as ‘The Wild Women Adventure Race’ and ‘The Hairy Mary All Women’s MTB Race’ and now ‘The Amazons Australia’. Jan also conducted the first ever Cycling Australia ‘She Rides Mountain Bike Program’ in Noosa and continues to lead women’s riding and adventure groups though Tri Adventure.

So, yes Jan has preferred to race in ‘all female teams’ and continued to provide opportunities for other females in the sport to learn from her along the way. In 2023 Jan raced with the Mountain Designs Wild Women at ARWS Oceania Terra Nova where the team were the 1st Female team and 1st four-person team across the line….Jan was over 60.

In addition to racing, Jan loves to volunteer and support at events. She has worked as media support for ARWS XPD in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2021 and became and ARWS Referee in 2022. Jan has refereed at many of the ARWS Oceania Series events including Legend Expedition in 2023 and 2024.
In addition to competing in Adventure Racing and conducting an adventure sports business Jan has been passionate about the environment and sustainability and volunteered with Plastic Free Noosa and Tourism Noosa’s Trees for Tourism program for many years.
